St. Croix is the largest of the United States Virgin
Islands. Roughly 84 square miles in size, the island is
located 38 miles from St. Thomas, and 50 miles southeast of
Puerto Rico. Flags of seven nations
have flown over St. Croix including Spain, England, The Netherlands,
France, Knights of Malta, Denmark and the United States.
